It is with fantastic sadness that we share the news of the passing of Milton Corn, M.D., FACP, FACMI, Deputy Director for Research and Education and learning. Dr. Corn labored at NLM for additional than 30 many years. He died on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
Dr. Corn joined NLM in 1990 as Director of the Extramural Systems Division, with duty for all factors of NLM’s grant courses and remained in that role till 2009 when he assumed the posture of Deputy Director for Research and Education and learning.
As the Deputy Director for Research and Education and learning, Dr. Corn was the principal professional medical advisor on analysis and improvement and professional medical education priorities for NLM, the place he presented path and assistance on the comprehensive assortment of NLM’s intramural and extramural analysis portfolio. He creatively modified NLM’s Schooling Software in Biomedical Informatics to maintain tempo with developments in biomedical computing.
